Of course I found an open chocolate shop
The Glenbow was closed for Good Friday, but the building was open

No desks, roving model: not sure I approve, but seems to work
While I prefer Carnegie libraries (temples of learning), and the snakiness of the stacks is confusing, I really like the way local folks are incorporated in displays: a local chef does the cookbook display e.g.

Spring (allergies) + new job (overworked brain) = a weekend spent napping. What shall I do with the rest of the sunny day? Mayhap a G&T on the porch...
stayed up to 2 am re-reading Deep Secrets, but the dog still wants me up at the usual time. hrmph.

2019 Droitwich Appeals that succeed: Who could resist this sweet face? Plus, it stops the barks. This is a public footpath, leading straight to the Hadley Bowling Green Inn, my walk’s destination At this point the path disappears: I take the tractor road skirting the field I was covered in tiny burrs after pushing through this hedge Here I get locally made ice cream I take the road back Droitwich flowers Sweetest scent ever climbing a British hedgerow 2018 I’m buying ice cream “Thank you for eating healthy” The cashier tells me. Progression of a storm: we watch clouds piling up, enjoying the play of light on the rocks. Back at the library, we hear the rain and thunder. Then....hail?! And a heavenly scent of bruised plants. My poor Forester is out in it, hood open to keep the pack rats at bay. Minor flooding. So far. It’s been going on for an hour. Ice is melted, but rain pours down still. 2020 There is no sorrow That can’t be soothed by a fire And a hammock chair 2019 White Sands Early sandy morn A deep stillness swallows sound I see a small fox 2017 "it's just a bad ball," Comments the calm, quiet voice. I'm not watching golf. Old boy Chip and I Both wanted to doze inside. Young pup dragged us out. At the cricket pitch, Modern day circle of stones On the windy hill. The hill ponies leave, So we take a look around. It's a bit smelly. 2015 Taos hosts Meow Wolf Spider: Market behind him, Striding towards Taos Mountain; Can't he smell chilis? 2014 For a year I've passed a rustic sign, posted on Hwy 14: "Potter, 400 yds," with an arrow pointing west. Finally followed the arrow, and discovered New Mexico's Best Potter for 2014. Wonderful work, both art sculptures and functional pieces.
