2019 Droitwich Appeals that succeed: Who could resist this sweet face? Plus, it stops the barks. This is a public footpath, leading straight to the Hadley Bowling Green Inn, my walk’s destination At this point the path disappears: I take the tractor road skirting the field I was covered in tiny burrs after pushing through this hedge Here I get locally made ice cream I take the road back Droitwich flowers Sweetest scent ever climbing a British hedgerow 2018 I’m buying ice cream “Thank you for eating healthy” The cashier tells me. Progression of a storm: we watch clouds piling up, enjoying the play of light on the rocks. Back at the library, we hear the rain and thunder. Then....hail?! And a heavenly scent of bruised plants.
