Fog in the Peaks

 Arbor Low Henge and Barrow
Arbor Low Henge and Barrow

Looking east and looking west,
Gathering the day.

She says, "We don't get large birds."
Then comes a flicker.

Haiku on Insomnia
A sleepless night once
Was a chance to create. Now
I just read Facebook
The tough thing about
Wakefulness: having to work
In a few more hours.
The city's asleep,
But I hear the rhythmic pulse
And the yowling cats.
fluffed into a ball
the cat sits crouched on the wall:
baby, it's cold out....
And puddles have iced over.
They crunch at my feet.
2010
Yes, she jaywalked, but
The scofflaw cyclist

2017
Two evening skies,Looking east and looking west,
Gathering the day.

The morning bird show...She says, "We don't get large birds."
Then comes a flicker.

2012
A strong east wind blows,And puddles have iced over.
They crunch at my feet.
Yes, she jaywalked, but
The small man in uniform
Didn't need to grouse.
Teaches a child to ride through
The red traffic light.
