It's a dilemma.

Haikus for a cold
Winter morning in Portand:
This is uncommon.

Below freezing temps
Seem to energize the dogs,
But they growl too much.

She warms me with tales
Of Hawaii. The long walk
Back home is freezing.

Nothing brings back the
Midwest winters better than
Steamed-up glasses.

Home-made bread, spread with
Butter, cinnamon sugar.
Then broiled on both sides.

A spicy-sweet smell 
Permeates the chill morning:

2018 Landesbygda. We need this My first snow shoe lesson on the lake! Meg has given me her Honecker hat! 2016 When I'm sick, I bake Things I should not eat, such as Bacon grease brownies. The bacon grease adds a lovely gooey texture and subtle salty flavor: yummy! This is week 3 of a steadily worsening cold. Descending to the lungs, just like last year, when it turned to walking pneumonia. Oy 2013 I miss Taos, but now I wake to reveille from Kirtland AFB 2012 I love madrigals.
